Hiking With Kids

Western Washington is a special place with a wealth of hiking adventure opportunities. Filled with lush forests, jagged peaks and volcanoes, alpine lakes and stream corridors, not to mention seaside and oceanfront beaches. While we have many favorites, here is a sampling of 10 that will give you a broad taste of the different types of trails in Western Washington.

Hiking with Kids

After 10 years on the trails our twin girls our family completed over 200 hikes in Western Washington.  Read the Best of the NW “A New Chapter” story here. Encouraging ourselves to explore new trails and destinations we set the goal to complete all the hikes in the Beyond Mount Si Guidebook. We followed up The Beyond Mount Si Challenge by completing all hikes in the 60 hikes within 60 miles Seattle Guidebook.  Our family has enjoyed over 80 hikes in the Best Hikes with Kids Western Washington & the Cascades guide and counting. We would like to share some of our discoveries with you and encourage you to get out the door and explore the Best of the Northwest!
